Emergency School Closing Notifications

Please be sure to read the letter from our superintendent about the decision-making process when weather conditions may prompt a school closing. As a reminder, the Honeywell Instant Alert System should have your current contact information on file. Parents and staff may also choose to receive free notifications from the Emergency Closing Center. You can find log in information on each school web site through the Parents Information tab. NEW State of Illinois Health Requirement:Tdap Vaccine
The State of Illinois requires each child entering 6th, 7th and 8th grades at our school to show proof of having received one dose of the Tdap vaccine by the first day of the 2013/14 school year. SEASONAL FLU UPDATE

The Lake County Dept. of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are reporting that Illinois is experiencing an increase in cases of seasonal influenza. The CDC recommends obtaining the flu vaccine for everyone over 6 months of age, if you have not already done so. PTO BOOK FAIR

THANK YOU to everyone who made the PTO Book Fair possible!  
In addition to raising $7,500 to fund Links to Learning Grants and other PTO programs, $1,000 of new books were purchased for our libraries, over 400 Teacher Wish-List books were provided to our teachers, and 120 amazing new books were donated to our Giving Tree recipient, Reading Power, in North Chicago. COLONIAL DAYS COMING SOON!

The District 103 PTO will bring Colonial Days to our 5th graders on Tuesday, February 4th. We are looking for volunteers to help make this extended learning experience a special one for our students. Congratulations to our orchestra students who performed at the IMEA Festival Concert on Saturday, November 2nd at Wauconda High School! Skyward Student Access
Parents/Guardians of 7th, and 8th graders should have received login information for students to view their own grade book through Skyward. Please note, these student login/password combinations are separate from the parent login/password combinations. (Parents' login/password combinations for Family Access/Skyward have not changed unless specifically requested by parent users.) This access supports 7th and 8th graders in taking an active role in their education. Parents of 6th grade students can also log in and view their students grade book.
